Curriculum planning
Dr. Luk’s distinctive curriculum provides children with a high quality learning program that fosters early childhood development, love for learning and respect for individual identity. Educational materials are taught through fun-filled activities, music and art to promote a joyful learning experience that strengthens their academic foundations. Additionally, these activities support the development of children’s aesthetic sense and creativity, as well as their moral values and fine etiquette.
We will follow the "Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide" (2017) to plan curriculum. Children of nursery classes will not be asked to write, and there will not be mechanical copying exercises and drills on calculation.
Learning / Teaching approach and activities
To foster children to become well-rounded individuals, children learn in an energetic and cheerful theme-based environment with diverse teaching activities that can facilitate the development of their multiple intelligences and strengthen their language and music skills. Teaching is carried out in small groups that allow for increased opportunities for active participation and collaboration with others.
Assessment of children’s learning experiences
A child’s academic progress and individual growth are documented in a portfolio along with a summary report of cumulative assessments given throughout the school year.
